Myron is a fourth generation NYS Building Contractor with over 30 years’ experience as a drywall contractor, specializing in residential homes. Additionally, restoring old plaster walls and ceilings as well as applying decorative plaster finishes is an especially enjoyable part of his business.

Myron is a firm believer in education. Building a home is a science and to be better educated in the field Myron has completed his BPI certification for Building Analyst and Building Envelope. or the past 10 years Myron has been very active as a building performance contractor working on and consulting on the thermal boundary. 

 

When Myron is not getting his hands dirty in his drywall contracting company he travels the country teaching drywall and related topics at trade shows, lumberyards, tech schools and for construction companies. A regular contributor to Fine Homebuilding, Journal of Light Construction, Pro Construction Guide and Walls and Ceilings magazine.

 

Myron loves sharing his expertise and enthusiasm for the construction industry through his clinics, freelance writing, YouTube videos (Channel: Myron R. Ferguson), interactive blog website ( www.thisisdrywall.com) and Instagram (thatdrywallguy). In addition, Myron provides training and consulting on various drywall products as well as producing videos for these products. 

 

Myron and his wife Linda live in Middle Grove, NY where they enjoy running, hiking, and biking.
